Friends, Fellowship & Food

There is barely a time that members of Starkdale gather that good food and fellowship is not involved.

After the 11:00A.M. service each Sunday, families volunteer to host a fellowship hour serving various items. There is something there to please everyone, whether it is the healthy fruit or vegetable trays or yummy donuts and cookies. Those attending the service are encouraged to make their way to fellowship hall to enjoy what the host’s have prepared.

You can hear the buzz of the congregation catching up on the week past or the week ahead. Occasionally they break into a song celebrating a birthday or two.   You can overhear the children laughing and talking about what they learned in Sunday school or Children’s Church.

Beginning the first Sunday after Ash Wednesday, families provide homemade soup and homemade bread for our Lenten lunches.  Chili, chicken noodle soup, vegetable soup, cream of broccoli soup and ham and bean soup will be served over the five weeks of Lent.

The Evening Praise services end in fellowship hall also where the worshipers are greeted with a snack of pizza and pop.  You will even find anchovies if you look hard enough.

You will find donut holes and coffee at the Bible & Bits Adult Sunday school class at 9:30A.M. each week.

As you can tell, we like to eat.
Let us save you a seat next Sunday.
