 Our Monday Evening (7:00pm) Candlelight
Prayer Meetings are Starkdale’s way of focusing
on being in the presence of God during the hectic weeks we all experience. During this special hour
of prayer,
we give thanks for God’s mighty acts in
our ministry and personal lives, pray for concerns submitted by members of the congregation,
update our prayer list which is published and included in the weekly Sunday bulletin, and mediate on brief New Testament texts and the Psalms.
Participants’ prayers are voluntary. They may be vocal or in silence, and sometimes, in unison. Confidentiality is a major characteristic of this special time.
Church members and people from the community may submit names and concerns via the church office or the pastor. All names of people for whom we are asked to pray must give their permission to the person submitting their name.
